The origins of this artwork are not known. Some people believe that quilling was started in China after the invention of paper, and others think the craft had its origins in the 13th century. Nuns would imitate the iron decoration that was used as metal ornamentation in home decoration. They would roll strips of gilded paper cut from books.
This is paper quilling that I made. The design inspired from sun but it looks like leaves. i used 3 different colors, green, black, and light-green which compliment each other. It was hard to roll the paper because I do not have equipment but still I manage to create this artwork. First, I don't know how to make this and struggling to make it bigger. Honestly, it was tiring yet fun to do this. When you get the technique how to roll and make it bigger, the work will be easy as pie.
