In Bulacan, their pastillas are colorful and elegant designed paper wrappers or pabalat made of japanese paper. I made this once when I was Junior High school. It was stressful to make a hole in japanese paper but it was fun. I spent a lot of time by making pabalat. I wish it continues the tradition through next generation because it has an impact and fiestas are not complete without these paper-cut pastillas.
